J. Percy Priest Lake

Visitors Information Center. This lake is located 9 southeast of Downtown Nashville right off I 40. It is 15 miles upstream from Nashville and 6.8 miles from the Cumberland River. Three recreational sites are available for camping. Percy Priest Lake has 14,200 acres of water with a 440-mile shoreline and 25 access areas. Percy Priest reservoir stretches 41.9 miles upstream from the Cumberland River to the headwaters of the Stones River. Percy Priest reservoir is located on the Stones River which is a tributary of the Cumberland River.  The deepest point, which is close to the dam, is approximately 100 feet.
